Wales or England, we know the grants on both sides.

Some help is the same either side of the bridge. Some is not, and that can change what makes sense for your house.

Both countries

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme takes £7,500 off an air source heat pump, and solar, batteries, heat pumps and insulation carry 0% VAT until 31 March 2027.

In Wales

Green Homes Wales offers interest-free loans of £1,000 to £25,000. Households on lower incomes may get free improvements through Nest, the Welsh Government scheme.

In England

Councils run the Warm Homes: Local Grant for lower income households in less efficient homes, with the work arranged through the council.
