First we kept the heat in. Now we make the power too.

County Energy is the sister company of County Insulation in Gloucester. The same people now design and fit solar panels, home batteries, heat pumps and EV chargers, from offices in Newport and Gloucester.

From lofts and walls to roofs, batteries and heat pumps.

County Energy grew out of County Insulation, a Gloucester firm that insulates lofts, rooms in the roof and walls. The work has grown. The people, and the way they look at a house, have not changed.

It started with insulation

County Insulation fits loft, room in roof and wall insulation across Gloucestershire. That work teaches you how a house loses its heat, and why you stop that before you change how you make it.

Then the roof, the battery and the car

County Energy began with solar panels, home batteries and EV chargers for homes around Gloucester, with the MCS certificate and the electrical sign-off done by us.

Now heating too, from two offices

Today we fit air source and air to air heat pumps as well. Our main office is in Newport and our second is in Gloucester, so one team covers South East Wales, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Bristol.

Why one team for the whole house?

Most homes need more than one thing done. When one team plans and fits all of it, nothing goes in the wrong order and you never have two firms pointing at each other.

One survey

One visit to look at everything: the roof and which way it faces, the loft and the walls, your heating, the fuse board and where you park the car. Then one written design that covers the lot.

One design, in the right order

Keep the heat in first, then make your own power, store it, heat with it and charge the car with it. Done in that order, the heat pump can be smaller and the battery is sized to what you really use.

One crew

The team that plans your job is the team that fits it. The panels, the battery, the inverter and the charger are wired in by our electricians, so you are not waiting on another firm to turn up.

Rob and his team were excellent. Our loft was cleared and insulated over 3 days with minimal disruption.

One number to call

Before the job, on the day and long after it. One number reaches the people who fitted your system, whether it is a question about the battery settings, the app or adding a charger later.
