Most installers sell one thing. We look at the whole house, then tell you which measures will save you the most for the least outlay, and in what order to do them. By taking a whole house approach, we have the experience and understanding of how the fabric and insulation of a property affect its energy performance, and how renewable technologies integrate with it.

Solar panels make the power
A south, east or west facing roof in Gloucestershire will produce most of what an average home uses over a year. Panels carry a 25 year performance guarantee and need almost no looking after.

The battery keeps it for the evening
Without storage, the power you make at midday goes to the grid for pennies. A battery holds it for the evening peak, and can charge overnight on a cheap tariff when the sun is not out.

An air source heat pump runs the heating
For every unit of electricity it uses, a heat pump puts three to four units of heat into your home. Run it on your own solar and stored power and the running cost drops again.

Air to air units heat and cool the rooms you use most
A wall unit in the living room or a loft conversion gives quick, controllable heat in winter and cooling in summer, with no pipework and a one day install.

Insulation keeps all of it in
A quarter of a home's heat leaves through the roof. Topping up the loft, or insulating the walls, means a smaller heat pump, a smaller system and a warmer house.

Grant-funded work has to be fitted by an MCS certified installer. We are MCS certified and NAPIT registered, so we apply for the grant, take it off your price and look after the certificates.

Questions we get asked at almost every survey.
Most are. A roof facing anywhere from east round to west works, and we can use two roof faces if one alone is too small. Shade from trees or chimneys matters more than direction, which is why we measure it at the survey rather than guess from a satellite photo.
Yes, when it is sized and designed for the house. We calculate the heat loss of every room, check the radiators and the insulation, and specify the unit from that. Heat pumps work in temperatures well below anything Gloucestershire sees.

An air source heat pump heats water for your radiators and taps, replacing a boiler for the whole house. An air to air unit heats or cools the air in a room directly, like a wall-mounted unit. Many homes use one of each.
